Question Freaky dash problem 99 GC 4.0L 2WD

Hi all, I am new to the forum due to necessity, and I hope someone is kind enough to help me out.

My wife has a 1999 GC 4.0L 2WD Laredo. I have been taking good care of it. It has been running well for the past 3+ years, no real problems to speak of.

Today , the stangest thing started happening. The brake and the ABS lights came on, along with an audible warning. The odemeter started to rapidlly flash. When I shut off the Jeep, ALL the gauges traveled thier max distance to the right and then back down to the rest position. Once the car started running rough when this happened. The check engine light NEVER came on. I am going to borrow a generic code scanner later today and see if it throwing anything out.

I checked all the fluid levels and everthing looks fine. I suspect a possible short in the dash, but I have no idea where to start, or if I am really thinking in the right direction.

Any help is appreciated in advance,

First problem seems to be the 2wd.

I was in a 99 Dodge Grand Caravan. All of a sudden all the lights started flashing and the displays bounced around and went wild.

They entire board had to be replaced
