Fender Trimming Question

I started doing some fender trimming but I think I'm going to go a bit further. My question is, when you guys do a good amount of trimming and even cut/bend your pinch weld, what do you do with the inner fender splash guard? Are you completely removing or just cutting out what you don't want in there?

If it works, it works...do it for you.

Front can be removed completely but the drivers rear should stay because of the filler neck and if you have an 04 the charcoal canister.
