Fan Resistor

My fan stopped working the other day, then it would come back on...and now nothing. After doing some searching around i guess it is the fan resistor, which there seems to be plenty of info on saying this is the problem. The problem I am having is finding a write up on how to locate/fix the problem on my specific jeep (2001 grand cherokee). I'm sure there is something that I am not finding so any help would be appreciated.

Jeep Grand Cherokee WJ - Blower motor connector repair

^^This is exactly what you need to do.

Its not the resistor broken, its the wires shorting out. Upgrade the wires before they short out the resistor for good.
