Engine Paint Pics

I had a can of Eastwood's AMC blue engine paint laying around from when I rebuilt my 343 from my 1968 Javelin.
I had already disassembled my 6 cyl due to the broken piston skirt so I figured I'd clean some parts up and paint em'. I love this color, even though it's not going on an "AMC"....

Lookin good!

I just did regular ol black on the block and head. I forgot to get the pan so now my pan is "Rust" colored...lol...

I'd really like to get some POR-15 on the bottom of my truck.

Looks good. I've had success with Eastwood products also. I see you 'did it right', and screwed dummy bolts in, to plug the threads in the head. I wonder how many people paint threads, and then wonder why the bolts don't screw in properly. That would raise hell with torque specs.

Thanks! I wish I would have just pulled the whole engine out at this point. I guess that's going to be this winters project.
As far as the bolts go, yeah I can believe it'd be a pain getting those in with paint in the threads, this ceramic paint is thick, and very hard!

I also like painting engines lighter colors as it makes it a lot easier to see any leaks.

Very cool. I love it. I am a "Jeep Guy" from way back and AMC holds a very special place in my heart.

I would love to see an entire 6 cyl painted up with this stuff. I guess I'll have to wait until I do it this winter
