Wj Engine Code P1281

Ok is this a Thermostat issue? or a Accelerator pedal position (APP) sensor 2 issue?
Autozone print out states..
The voltage from APP sensor 1 cirucit did not agree with the APP sensor 1 or 3 circuits
probable cause
1. Failed APP sensor
2. Poor connection
3. Open or short circuit condition.

FYI..I replaced the thermostat about 2 mos ago and they didn't have the 185 degree thermostat so when with 175? I think thats right...anyway it was a lesser of temp sensor...

So what is the problem! thanks!

From http://www.wjjeeps.com/faultcodes.htm#1200: P1281 = Engine coolant temperature remains below normal operating temperatures during vehicle travel (Thermostat).

The stock thermostat 195 degrees. Obviously the 175* is too low. BTW, there is no advantage to using a cooler thermostat, only disadvantage.

Most people don't know that the thermostat just sets the lowest temp at which coolant starts circulating in the cooling system and so more or less sets the lowest temp of the coolant. The maximum temp of the coolant depends of cooling system condition, engine loads, and ambient temp.
