Dome Light Stays On

Had some difficulty with the wiring on front driver door. Fixed the black wire that runs the windows and door locks. However, I am getting a message that my front door is open and the dome light stays on which does not go off unless I disconnect the battery.

Is there a chance this is another broken wire? or should I look for something else.

Most probably a wire since the door is not sensed as closed. Also ensure the dash brightness switch on the headlight stalk is not turned fully fwd as that will also switch on the internal lights and keep them on with doors closed. may help for Dome
Ight but not for door signal

If you have a meter, another thing to check are the door switches themselves.

It's been a bit since I fixed mine but I recall at least 2 of the heavier gauge wires in the driver door harness that will break, so you may have another one gone bad on you.

Your door lock actuator may be the culprit, also. It seems like your BCM thinks that door is always open.

I looked over there <- one day and it said "Senior Member" and I was like...."Naaa
