Does this sound like a trasfer case problem?

My 04 w/ 4.7ho and 247 quadra trac 2 has only 68k. Coming back from a trip 30 miles highway speed I took a shortcut on a road with a 15
mph speed limit. All of a sudden, it "sounded" like my tires were rubbing the fenders with a slight metallic sound and the jeep bogged down some. It got quiet after about a mile.
Pulled in garage and changed the Tcase with more oem special fluid and rear diff fluid was also changed. The tcase had a few very small metal parts but the rear diff fluid did have alot of fine metal. i did find a front tire was 6psi low and on full time awd not a good idea. On initial test drive it "popped" twice and jerked. I took it out twice after that letting it cool down in between. The diffs and tcase were warm but not hot and it didn't make any sounds in about an hour of driving slow to 60mph. I took it 25 miles round trip to work and it didn't make any noise the next day, maybe a slight vibration but it could be me. I'm not the really that lucky that a fluid change
fixed everything...or am I? The fluids were first changed when I got the jeep in 2007 with 43k miles. The roads were mostly straight so the viscous coupling and all would be all spinning the same rate. It was bogged down going straight, no turns. What could bind going straight?
Did the tcase fluid maybe break down? I saw some people say that happens. I really cant afford a new rebuilt tcase at the moment but am willing once I
prepare emotionally and money wise. I checked front diff fluid too, good level and color.
What part of the tcase could be making that sound if thats what it really is?
Any opinions on life left on it etc from someone of
experience would be appreciated. Thanks!

247 takes mopar fluid.

the diffs take 75-140 with the additive.

How are your u-joints??

Did you change the gear oil in the front diff?

He has the Quadratrac 2 which just means he has a 247 t-case which uses 247 mopar fluid.

I have the only fluid recommended for the 247, the oem 5016796AC type. The diffs had mobil 1 syn with the required fm. Now have lucus syn which says does not require fm. It does not chatter. It was a constant rubbing like noise and I had to give a little more throttle to maintain speed. I did not change the front diff fluid, it was clear what ran out. I'm not ruling it out as a culprit but suspect it less. I torqued the driveshafts by hand and they didn't have alot of slack in the u-joints, they were pretty tight. The sound wasn't metal, it was like a loud hum I remember. When I took it out for the test drives I ran my phone on video to get the sound but of it did not reproduce it. I don't want to start throwing money at it because it can get very expensive. I was kinda hoping for something to fail in order to resolve the search but now I'm just nervous about driving it anywhere.

Have you tried 4 Low? Have you tried driving in a tight circle?

No I did not try low, I was thinking about it though. I made some circles but not very tight. Ill try to try today. Usually when people see you driving in circles in their parking lot they think you've been drinking and call the police.

LOL

I'm wondering if the chain in the T-case is stretched.
