Wj Do I only need the yoke from the tcase with a front shaft swap?

To start off, I have a 04 WJ 242 Selec-Trac. My front drive shaft has u-joint at axle and CV at the tcase.

I am getting ready to install a 3'' lift and was told that I need to get a shaft that has the u-joints on both ends. If I can find a WJ shaft a the local junk yard, do I just need the yoke from the tcase to make the swap or is there more to it?

I have searched around, but I cant seem to find a definite answer.

I am wondering what year model WJ's have double cardan jointed front shafts. The Repezza joint on my 01 WJ tore up, has a standard ujoint on the axle, same as your's. I would rather go back with a double cardan ujointed shaft, but you have to have an adapter from flange type to ujoint yoke for it to work. I am not lifting mine so I may just get the stock joint rebuilt and move on.

Go to car-part.com and search for a WJ 4.7L front drive shaft with u-joints at both ends. Then, yes you'll need the u-joint yoke to replace the front output yoke on the TC.
