my Aunts Jeep is throwing three codes. p0123, p1489, and p1490. I looked the codes up saw what it said the problem is but the explanations are a little ambiguous. please help explain what I needx to do to resolve these issues for her. Thank you in advance.

P0123 means the the throttle position sensor needs to be replaced.

P1489 and P1490 indicates a problem with the radiator fan relay(s) and/or wiring. Information about the model year and engine would help here.

First code is for the TPS. Make sure it's plugged in and there is no corrosion inside the plug. How does it idle? Any vacuum leaks?
The second codes are for the fan relay high and low side. What does your aunt drive?

*Edit - you beat me to it.

2004 don't have the relay under the hood, but you have two relays in the box instead. I'd swap those with known good relays and see what happens. I'd use the starter and fuel pump relays because you would know if they don't work. Clear the codes and go for a drive. Does your aunt's car overheat, specifically at idle?

Throttle body. One side will have the throttle cable, on the other will be the TPS

Typing on phones sucks.
