In-Dash GPS Navigation/Radio System

Hey Jeep Peeps!

I'm looking for a GPS Navigation/Radio System for my 2004 Grand Cherokee. Everywhere that I've looked, it seems that none of them fits my Jeep... I contacted a stereo shop, they said that they could do a dash modification which I rather not do since it would cost more money. I was wondering if you guys knew of any system that would fit in my Jeep without any modifcations?

Thanks so much!

I think it actually looks kinda nice. Probably equally as reliable as my $1K+ pioneer. If I didn't watch movies while someone else drives on my drives down to Fla I wouldn't mind it.

I put one of those in my '03 jeep about 5 years ago. Bolted and plugged right in. You also have to put a little gps antenna that came with it behind the instrument bezel. It was really easy to install. Also check to see how old the navigation disk is. I updated mine a year or two ago. Chrysler charges a couple hundred for the data disk.

Mine came out of a Chrysler 300 and said Chrysler 300 on the screen for the first day or so then somehow the box realized that it was in a Jeep and switched the screen to jeep.

Damn those discs are high. I wonder if they are bootleg somewhere online... I'm old school and use paper maps lol

Chris: it says DVD on the front of the head unit, does it actually play DVDs? Or only the nav disc.

Does the nav disc have to be in to use the
navigation? Just curious

It plays the navigation DVD. The navigation disk must be in for the gps to work. I understand that the software is on the disk as well.

The updated disks come out every couple of years and cost $210. I just found a thread where someone on this forum has them for $20. See this thread: http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f20/r...-disc-1148548/
