Wj D44A axle shaft 4 retaining nuts

Guys

I'm about to do the axle seals on my 2000 WJ.

The retaining nuts on the retaining plate are mucho rusty and I wouldn't consider re-using them once I've removed them.

Does anyone know the size\thread of the nuts so I can source them beforehand?

Many thanks.

UKC

Don't quote me, but I think they're tapered at the top (like a lug nut where it is conical shaped). ie: not easy to source as a result.

I replaced mine with regular nuts of the same size adding a lockwasher for good measure. I can't remember the size though

I do know they are SAE, but can't remember the size for the life of me.

They were 3/8-24s!

I'm all set.
