Custom RBP style grill

Didnt want to hijack someone else thread. So I love the style that RBP grills have. And with the limited items wjs have and the extream costs of the grills I made my own.

We did a lot of dry fitting and then began to roll it out to form the curves. And more test fits.

forumrunner_20121022_061812.jpg

then took measurments and and drilled holes and added nutserts to make attach from the top. Made a heade and tacked it to it.

Made sure everything fit well then.added 3 tabs to the bottom and cut & attached mesh

Then went to fastenal and picked up all SS hardware, put them on a wet belt sander to grind all the numbers and letters off then applied clear coat to them.

Once that was all said and dont took some polished aluminum cut out then hand filed for for a longggg time it feels like and made the center badge.

forumrunner_20121022_065724.jpg

Turned out pretty nice, before I put it back on the jeep I sprayed the radiator supports all black. Everything came out well and Im happy with it.

Fantastic job Max!! I am so glad you didnt actually put RBP products on your Jeep.... they are JUNK! They look nice, but 6 months down the road they start to rust and corrode and look like garbage.. with no help from RBP.

Yours looks great and the satisfaction of doing it yourself must be incredible...
