compatible parts from other vehicles for wj?
after realizing how expensive bull bars and brushguards are i decided ill only buy used, yet nobody in my area sells used ones.
so im wondering what other vehicles out there i may be able to take a bullbar/brush guard off of, and put right on my wj.
hopefully with zero or minimum modification.
and any other parts you can think of could be useful as well.

Somewhere there is a post that says a Durango alternator will fit, I haven't been able to confirm this though. I wish I could because I'm installing a winch and will need the extra power.

I swear I saw a list of stuff somewhere on here. The only thing I can find right now is the lsit for XJs though... If we could get something like this put together for WJs, that'd be sweet!

google tells all, well if you have a 2004, the fan relays in the fuse box fit right in with no mods at all
also know of a few people that add the taurus electric cooling fan to there grand
as far as bull/brush guard type things, i have no idea, measure your frame rails and see if they are the same as other models

Wheels from any of the 5x5 Jeeps (JK, WK, WK2).
Durango alternator is an upgrade for the 4.7s.
Axles from JK Rubicon (although not a direct bolt in by far)
NP242 or NP231 from a ZJ or XJ can be made to work. I'd love to see an NV241 swap!
Front driveshaft from a 93-95 ZJ.
To be fair, the WJ axles are better than most other Jeeps. Likewise, WJ knuckles, steering, brakes, and brake master cyl are used by a lot of other Jeep-model owners as upgrades. We just get the good stuff to start with!

Durango Alternators will work for the 4.0L as well. You just have to cut one of the ears off. That may or may not void your warranty if you buy a new one from the parts store. If your going to do the upgrade, make sure you get the 160 amp alternator, not the 130 amp.

I can confirm that the 2005+ 4.7v8 Durango alternator fits. It's 160amp, versus the 136amp that's in the WJ. It was also ~$40 cheaper than the WJ alt.
There's not too many bolt-ons from other vehicles that fit a WJ.

for the 4.0, or the 4.7? and is it a direct bolt on? im trying to get a double cardan front ds for my 04, i already have the u-joint at the axle and nobody has given me a clear cut answer if a zj 4.0 with a 242 selec trac case front ds will directly bolt into my wj, granted i change the yoke in the transfer case with the one in the zj also

33" give or take 1/2" and your perfect. ZJ V8 or 4.0L it doesnt matter as long as its that length. Yes its direct bolt on if you have u-joint yokes.
