Code P0725

Since I got my jeep I've been fighting with the tranny going into limp mode and getting p0725. So far I've replaced the Crank Pos Sensor and the Trans input speed sensor, Disconnected and replugged the TCM and ECM, ran out the wires looking for a short while moving them around and found nothing. For a while, 2000mi the problem went away. Today it came back. I'm guessing looking at the wiring diagrams one side of the sensor goes to ground, I just don't know where. I'm sure someone else has had this problem. Is there an area of the harness known for rubbing on the engine and causing a short?

thanks

Were both speed sensors checked? How many miles total?

This may need the trans code read by a scanner to see the failure in action rather than the resulting code.

Speed sensors were not checked, but I didn't trash them either, coming up on 150000mi.

i'm going though he same thing, i have replaced, the cam, crank, and front trans speed sensor, and the probblem is back ? it seems to all go back to the crank sensor ? i will run down my wiring over the weekend, and printed out the pages from the fsm. back probe the crank sensor should have 4.8 to 5.2 volts, when the key is in the run posstion. any thing else is outta spec. remove ckp from the plug, make sure the plug has 4.5 volt t 5.0 volts.
