Can rear rotors warp??

Replaced my front rotors for the 2nd time in 7 months. Still having the same problem when I try to stop quickly at high speeds. The front end shakes abruptly with a loud humming. (Not an axle problem since it is quiet while I'm driving.) I replaced the rear brake pads 6 months ago and didn't notice any damage to the rear rotors then?

Should i be replacing the rear rotors? I didn't think this was a problem with the rear as much as the front.

Please help, thanks

Front rotors are normally the cause of the steering wheel shaking while braking, the rear rotors you would feel in the brake pedal more so then the steering wheel.

Also even new rotors can cause vibation from being out of round, while i was the manager of midas for a few years we use to buy the cheapest garbage rotors for the customers cars and they would return saying that its worse then before.

But after a few times of this happening we would measure rotor run outon a new rotor and it would be out of the limits.

Ya, I deffinitly don't feel the shaking in the steering wheel. More underneath the vehicle

You might want to check tie rods or trac bar bushing , but that doesnt sound like a brake issue if its coming from underneath and you dont feel it in the pedal or steering wheel.

i slightly feel it in the brake pedal. it only happens when applying the break following high speeds coming to a quick stop.

do you hear any humming sound that isnt normally there, if so then it might be the wheel bearing.

have you ruled out the ABS kicking in during a hard stop? That causes a vibration/humming that is normal, but it has to be a hard enough stop to make the car attempt to skid of course.

You need to check:
Wheel bearings(both sides)

Ball joints(all 4) my money is here,
Tie rod ends(all 4) and here
Track bar(mounts,bolts,bushings) and here

Get someone who knows what their looking at and have them climb under the front end while you move steering wheel back and fourth a little and look for things that are moving that shouldnt be.

As far as bearings, jack up the front end and grab the tire at 12 and 6 and move up & down, there should not be any play. While its up grab at 3 & 9 and same this will check tie rods.

I didn't re-read your first post but how many miles are on this truck ?
All this stuff might need to be done anyway.
