can i just swap the axles?

so some of you might already know but i bent my front axle in my wj and have been driving my truck and i want to get back in the jeep and next thursday i am finally gonna get a chance to fix it. what i was wanting to know and have been searching for is a way to know what wj to get the axle from at the pick and pull. there are different years but no limited like mine, they are all laredos. so what i was wanting to know is there some way to look at marking or tags on the axles and know what gears they have or what... how do i choose which one to pull?

First you need to find out what front axle you have, I would assume a dana 30, so look for one that has a dana 30 and it either cv or ujoint (whichever one you have, get that one). Remove your old one, install PNP one.

All stock WJs have dana30 and cv joints, none ever came with u-joints and he needs 3.55 gears so you can't get it from a V8 but not all I6s have 3.55.

if no tag, pop the cover and look at the numbers on the ring gear. 41 11 is a 3.73 ratio gear. since there were only two ratios offered stock, if it's not that number it's the one you need.
