With system evac'd low side will sit at -30 and needs to hold or it's leaking. Operating I've been told low side is typically between 40-60, high side can get as upwards to 450.

The beatings will continue until attitudes improve!

For the record. You either have a orifious tube or a TXV. Not both.

CJ, thanks for posting that up. I found it in some older threads where you posted it before and it was quite helpful to me.

Thanks for the chart. Installed a rebuilt 4.7 in daughters o4 Limited last night. Runs much better than the old one. Thought I would charge her AC this weekend so as to not overheat the new engine this week. It is to be high 90's all week.

A/C has nothing to do with engine temperature, other than it can make the engine run warmer when it's operational.

Daughter has 400 miles on new engine. Running great. Just charged the AC. It is 94 degrees out so I set the low side at 43 PSI. Nice and cold. Told her to keep an eye on the engine temp. She is very happy. Wants to start hauling her ATV around now.

If you started with a empty system total capacity is 24oz. Or sucking two 12oz cans empty.
