bought my first jeep & cooling issue!!!

I just bought a 2002 jeep grand cherokee 4x4 4.7 v8. I got it for a great deal but the guy I bought it from didn't need emissions. Well I went to try to get emissions yesterday and it said there are 2 pending codes and my check engine light never came on. I drove it for 150 miles and still didnt come on. The pending codes are for hydraulic cooling fan solenoid and for the battery temp sensor. I have been looking and I do not have a hydraulic cooling fan, all I have is the fan off the water pump. IDK what to do please somebody help me.

If you have a 2002, you should have the hydraulic cooling fan, it was made standard starting in 2001. Sounds like it probably failed and the guy replaced it with a clutch fan. Which sucks. The hydraulic fan assembly and related parts are going to be spennnnnndy.

I can't think of a solution to bypass the OBD2's desire to have the hydraulic fan present.
