Wj A bit of advice needed about tyres please

Hi all, just signed up after lurking around here for a while, I am looking to buy a nice 2002 4.7 limited, just a bit worried as the front tyres don't match. Having read all the buying advice, should I reject the car because of this. I did some tight turns & there didn't seem to be any scrubbing or jumping from the front, am I worrying too much? It's only done about 75k & has a full service history, needs new front brake discs though. Thanks in advance, Richard

Do you have any photographs of the new future purchase? It is something to consider, but you can always ask why the two different pair of tires.

Thanks for your reply, I did ask the owner why & he didn't realise they were different, all were goodyear wranglers, but one had a slightly different tread pattern & different writing on the side. Could have been a mistake by the tyre fitter I suppose!

With QD or QTII its advisable to have all 5 tires the same and rotate often so all wear the same.

That said many previous owners didn't do this. Be hard to find a WJ that owner did rotate tires.

I would be more concerned with the condition of Jeep, service history and mileage. Build in to your budget new tires as they can last up 50,000 miles its worth while investment.

Thanks 4tom, the overall condition is good, full jeep history to 50k then 4x4 specialist after that. I did think its difficult to know what's happened to a 11 year old car in the past. The blend doors need replacing though I think, I ran the diagnostic on that

Bought my WJ with only part history.
As I wasn't sure I checked all the fluids and scheduled fluid changes into my DIY services.

Shows fluid change schedule
