Yeah actually the guy ended up junking the car and gave it to me to get parts out of it and do some swapping, but consensus was that cylinder 2 is badly cracked and the injector was dumping fuel at idle so it was just running right through cylinder 2 into the cat and the fuel was burning off on the inside of the piping. But hey, I got a laundry list of parts to pull from it so I'm not complaining haha
