I have had three sets of Coopers, the ones the rt3 replaced, can't think of the name, Stt and currently running the difinity mt from pep boys that are made by copper. I have no experience with the generals but I vote coopers, I've averaged 50k on the sets I've had.

Cooper/Mickey Thompson/Dick Cepek have a always been know for longevity. I had a set of Mickey Thompson MTXs on a '98 Ram 4x4 I had and when I sold the truck with 68k miles on the tires they still had usable tread on 'em.
The Cepek FCIIs on my current truck have just under 35k miles on them and really show almost no signs of treadwear yet:

I have the Coopers, so far so good. I really like them on road, and in the rain! I have not had them on much more then muddy dirt roads as of yet, but so far they have handled up to my expectations. (I did get to use them on some pretty deep flooded roads a month or so back.)

I'm surprised nobody has commented about my tread depth gauge yet, LOL...

I have general grabber at2 at 31in and Ill say its like BFG ATs but better! The only difference other then MUCH better wet traction compared to the BFGs is a slight bit more noise and MUCH better price tag.

thanks! they look nice! What do you guys think has a more aggressive tire stance and look? Like a more off road rugged look? The General Grabber AT2 or the Cooper AT3?

Grabber AT2s look a little more aggressive and have that Mountain/Snowflake rating. Cooper are going to be quieter on the road and may actually be a little tougher overall (Cooper makes excellent tires).

I have a set of 245 75R 17 Goodyear Duratracs and those are great AT tires. More aggressive than most AT's and not a lot of noise.

Duratracs are pretty spendy though. About 50% more than the tires mentioned above.
