BB and 255/70s?

ive been contemplating on 245/75s or 255/70s.my question is - will 255s rub? and if so can somebody explain to me HOW i trim whatever it is i have to trim.i want to run the biggest tire i can with my BB... even a 265 has come to mind. in advance, i know im ignorant... but we all have to learn somewhere!

P.S. i have searched the forum for something on 255 tires and a BB, but couldnt find anything. sorry if this is a thread somebody has posted a thousand times.

Assuming that you plan on running a 16" rim, both will fit with no issues. A 245/75/16 is a 30.5" tire, a 255/70/16 is a 30.1" tire.

thanks for the reply, im thinking the 255s simply because they are a little bit wider (i recently rolled my jeep at 50 and drove away home with only a few dents and a slight single tire balance issue) needless to say, im scared of rolling my jeep again...BUT I WANT CLEARANCE!!!!! so im trying to get a wider track for better stability, but at the same time dont want to use spacers because of the wear and tear, or go through the trouble and expenses of buy a backspaced rim (which i know little about).

will the 255s compared to the 245s give me better stability? and if i did want to go for 265s would i have to go with a wider than stock rim?

265's will rub with a 2" BB..255 will have minor rubbing on the inside plastic of the bumper/fender at full lock...from my experience

I only had minor rubbing issues with the 255's with out the BB, after I put the BB on, no rubbing issues at all.

Through my experiance:BB with 255/70/17 REVO's on an '02 WJ will just barely touch the drivers side inner fender at full lock in reverse.
