battery wont charge

I have a charging issue with my 99 wj, the battery is only 6 months old. the jeep sat for a couple months and when I tried to start it the battery was dead. I jump started it and ran it for an hour, shut it off and tried starting it again and nothing. the ampmeter indicates the alternator is working, I even removed the battery cables while it was running to check. when I reconect the cables there is no sign of a spark between the cable and the post. I don't have a battery tester, I'm wondering if anyone else has had a problem like this? I lost the warranty for the battery so I'm hoping it's just a fusable link or something like that. hope someone can help, thanks

Is there any corrosion on the terminals or connectors? Even the slightest corrosion?

Didnt they take your phone number for the warranty? depends which store.

Yo could also take it to autozone and have it tested for free.

If the battery ever sat discharged in sub-freezing temps, its probably dead.

Try charging the battery, alternator won't charge a battery that is very very dead.
