Bars radiator leak stop?

So after driving g on some rough trails a couple days ago, I noticed yesterday my radiator had a small leak, just enough to wet the fender after it sat for a day. Today I drove the half hour to school and as soon as I pulled in to the parking lot it started beepi g and saying g low coolant. I got out and here is a steady drip coming from the bottom of the radiator. Should I use bars leak stop to seal it to get home or just try to buy a gallon of antifreeze to make it home? I know I need to replace the radiator, its just not in my budget now.
Thanks

DO NOT PUT BARS IN YOUR ENGINE...ok enough shouting! Just keep an eye on the level and keep topping. Using any of those radiator sludges will store up problems for the future in the form of blocked water channels or heater cores unless you are very lucky.

NO BARS LEAK! Does more harm than good.

YEAH, I'LL SHOUT A BIT MORE TOO!! NO BARS RAD LEAK!! Unless to want to gunge up the system even more.. :(

Alright I bought a gallon and I'm going to order a new radiator, this one should work correct? Mines a 1999 4.7 v8. http://m.ebay.com/itm/300583143733?nav=WATCHING&sbk=1

Why not go to auto zone and get a lifetime warranty one?

I guess that would be what I should do, but I really can't afford to spend $150. I would like to get one for 75 on eBay but who knows how long it will last.

Yeah don't run that **** in your engine. Just go to the local Wal-Mart and buy some cheap Supertech antifreeze 50/50 stuff. Its going to leak out so the cheaper the better.. lol

2 tablespoons of black pepper has always worked for me in the past . I've used it a few times and it has never gunked up the system like Bars leak will . Just have to rinse the system when your done .Your going to want to flush and fill with a new rad anyways .

Some ******* told my wife to put bars stop leak in our WJ. When the radiator started to leak. It stopped the leak, 2 days later the WJ overheated cause of clogged coolant passages then it blew a head gasket and filled #8 with coolant. A few hours later she tried to start it and bent a rod.

Well I bought the cheap Walmart coolant to fill it for now, and I ordered the eBay radiator. I'll keep everyone posted on how it works out.
Thanks for all the help guys.

Now that everyone said "DONT USE BARS LEAK"

Go ahead use it, NO NOT THAT BLACK LIQUID crap,
use this:

I've used this in my last 3 cars. A GM trained mechanic told me that years ago they put this in new cars (He's a friend of mine so I believe him). NEVER clogged my engine or heater core. Stopped a leak in my old Toyota 4wd wagon. Lasted 7 years until I got rid of it, no leaks never clogged it. I put it in my Jeep every time I've changed the anti freeze, NO problems at all. I usually get it at Napa.

Just crush them with pliers and put it right in the radiator or in the top hose & was it down with some antifreeze.

Saturn did that as well. So when I put a new head on it I put some copper stuff in also.

Still would never use it. No need for it.
