Don't get me wrong, that's awesome, I just wish there was some sort of snorkel you could buy that doesn't require any cutting of the body, aka something I could take off after offroadring. Or maybe there is and I don't know?
Either way, I like that companies are getting around to releasing more WJ stuff lately.

feasibility of that is limited. There has to be cutting of something involved since the engine compartment is basically "sealed".
You either have to cut through the wheel well, which wouldn't work because then you lose a LOT of articulation. Can't run it down and out because of the suspension and ground hazards. Options then are the hood, which wouldn't work because you wouldn't be able to open the hood easily, so you have to cut through the fender. You could probably develop something where it would be sealed with an O-ring so the snorkel could be removed and the hole would be there, but would have a cap on it.

I know but I can wish can't I? Haha.
To be honest, when I think of what I'm talking about, I imagine something that would go through the front grill, and run up the hood and A Pillar. Not sure if that would restrict airflow too much though, the length I mean...
Either way, lets be honest, if you're deep enough for it to matter than much, dry air isn't close to your only problem, ha.

I was down at ARB to determine the feasibility of installing this on a 4.7HO about a year ago. They took a bunch of measurements and photos and whatnot, spent a few hours at the shop in Renton, WA. What it comes down to if you want to install this on an 4.7HO model (Overland or Limited) is that you would need the 4.7L standard airbox.

I would really like to get one. Some of our trails get extremely dusty. If you're not the first two or three in a line, visibility sucks. In as much as I'd like to submarine my WJ, the thought of all of those electronics getting fried makes me shiver in fear. Also, that price tag. wtf?

Looks like it will get in the way with fender flares.

Unless you want to wheel without your hood (you could make the snorkel come out of the airbox and up to the roof without cutting a hole) there is really no way with how well sealed the engine bay is. Either have to cut the hood or the fender and the fender does not have to open and closer all the time.

Wow. I was expecting $400-500 not ~$700 shipped. Snorkels never seem to look good on WJs but ARBs is the nicest looking I have seen.

Damn, I can get an ARB locker for that. How can they charge that much for molded plastic. I guess I will still be making my own.

this ^ had it been 400 or so bucks i would have ordered one immediately. My wj would never NEED a snorkel, if the water goes that high ill have bigger problems. But it would be nice for those "oh **** i didnt think it was that deep" moments.
