Anyone bought the ebay ball joint/ tie rod bundles? any good?

i need to replace all my front end tie rod ends, ball joints, steering stabilizer, and shocks.

i have been watching the bundles on ebay that were going for over 100 until now since i have had them on my watch list they keep dropping the prices and increasing the percentage off. one of the bundles is down to $74 dollars and they all include 4 tie rod ends and 4 balls joints for the front.

i know the deal is sweet but i want to know if anyone has bought these sets before and how long they lasted. i know about all the others out there greasable vs non and all that junk just want a straight up yes good lasted blah blah time or not.

Balljoints and steering linkages are something that you should not compromise quality for price. It is a steal, no doubt, but there is a reason why it is so cheap. I would look elsewhere.

fine line here......
from a business stand point it could go two ways, cheap (junk) or cheap due to no overhead and store front, Ebay does the advertising, you charge the customer your ebay, paypal and shipping fees.

I would probably do it !
although I am a firm believer in MOOG only chassis parts

I just got my fuel filter on ebay for $ 13, the plastic case of it was probably made in china (like everything) but the filter itself was a hastings.

They do claim to exceed OEM quality, so I dunno. $50 for the ball joint kit sure beats $200....

I buy stuff on eBay all the time. They usually post the brand on there that you are buying. I bought a fat bobs garage budget boost on eBay for $60. And it was new In box.

We're talking steering components here, not a piece of plastic.

my choices of the sets i refer to on ebay are brands MAS industries for 110 shipped, OE brand for 79 shipped, or OE and AI combo for 78 shipped.

like i said i have had these on my watch list for a over a week now and they keep dropping the price obviously that happens alot on ebay when sellers see watchers on their items they reduce the prices to get them to buy i know that trick all to well i have done that numerous times.

i know mas ind is a good brand and oe makes alot of the parts you get from the chain stores so i believe they are all good quality with a one year warranty. moog may be a better choice but i believe they charge too much simply for their name not as much as the quality superiorness.

i have 176 on the truck now so to me to pay 200-300 for these parts is just flat out dumb if i had 100 then yes.

A buddy of mine got a eBay balljoint set, lasted him about 200 miles. Then it blew up sending his wife up over a curb and smashing the front of the car in.

Those kits are back door chinese factory seconds. The stuff that failed the already atrocious chinese quality control.

Dont drive anywhere near me if you buy those.

Moog is chinese crap these days too, tons of mechanics report lifetimes of less than a year on the newer stuff.

you try shipping 50lbs of metal halfway cross country.

i always factor in shipping and then decide if it's worth it. and sometimes rockauto just plain has stuff that the local stores can't get in, even at a not reasonable price.

There's always 5% online discount codes floating around the web, which helps offset shipping charges.
