6.5 on short arms
Looking for input and people that are running this set up or have had this setup. I currently have a rc 4" lift with with IRO adjustable upper front arms and jks adj trac bar. I want to upgrade to a 6.5 lift and was wondering about doing it on the short arms for now until I can eventually get the long arm set up. Thanks for the input and pics are welcomed.
Totally agree with Kolak. Way too hard on all of your other parts, not to mention body parts. Your kidneys and back won't be feeling too good after a short cruise through the woods. Just upgrade to full long arm (front & rear) and stay at 4 - 4.5 inches. IMO 6.5 is not worth it. One of my buddies has 6.75 in of lift on his wj with 35s, mine with 4.5 in and 33's literally sits an 1.25 in lower. At least that's what it looks like

I'm running 6 inches of lift and the IRO adjustable uppers for the front to correct my caster. I went this route as a temp till I could afford long arms. As others have stated, the ride is a bit rough, not unbearable though. My biggest issue is the wandering on the interstate. My first project this winter is to get my long arms built and installed. If you really want 6 inches, get the long arms from the beginning and save yourself a lot of hassle. Otherwise stick with the 4 inch.
Do it once and do it right, save for long arms.
