I bought the RC and if I had to do it all over again, I'd buy something OTHER than RC. Check the write up on my Cardomain in my sig link for details.

You shouldn't sacrifice ride quality if it's for looks.

And death wobble... It is in your best interest to contact Kolak. Quality and excellent customer service at good prices.

Im in the process of getting an ome setup but im going with the bilsteins from kolak instead of the ome. I've also ridden in a wj with the cheaper rc kit and did not like it. But I've heard good things about the rcx lift. Id also go with zone but thats just from reading a lot on lifts.

I got my WJ with a RC basic lift on it. It had a little over 1,000 miles on it. The springs sagged from 4" to 3", the lower control arm bushings were all SHOT (I greased them and torqued them every oil change), the shock re locators in the back tore my stock shock mounts right in half, and the bushings in all the shocks were shot as well, all the way around. That adds up to every part of the kit! I had severe death wobble, fixed that with JKS track bar and new tie rod ends, but still had horrible bump steer. Now from the bump steer, my pinion bearing is shot to hell. Pay ****, get ****. I went Iron Rock Offroad. Was this review helpful?

slightly, but you bought it used with the lift already on it? Who said it only had 1000 miles on it? Let me guess, the person you bought it from? Its also been noted that the basic kit has its short comings. One being that it doesn't even come with a track bar and it comes only with fixed CA's. Which is why, even us RC promoters, recommend the RCX kit rather than the basic kit. And in case you didn't realize, bump steer is caused by your drag link and track bar not being parallel. If you still have bump steer after the JKS bar, thats not RCs fault.

I agree 100% on all of the above. They replaced my control arm bushings for free, overnight shipping included, but the second set did not last long either. Just look at the difference between the RC control arms and bushings and Rusty's. As for my wheeling, the RC kit was mildly Offroad (access roads in Withlacoochie State Forest) twice so it's not like I taxed the hell out of that kit.

All of that being said, if you're going to lift up to 4 inches, you REALLY need to go long arm anyway. I'm saving up for Rusty's now.
