4.0L engine

Hi everyone
I have a 2004 $.0 liter grandcherokee that has just gone bang!could someone inform me as to whether any of the 4liter engine s will fit or does it have to be 1999 to 2005 if not what are the differences

Numerous differences over the years, head designs, intake, cam, exhaust, valves, sensors ...

better off getting an '02 - '04 engine. Check WJJeeps.com - Jeep Grand Cherokee WJ 1999-2004 for more.
93 red ZJ 190k 4.0. Spent more money than I should have ...

Isn't red the only color a vehicle should be?
