4.0 stroker

I'm about to build a stroker for my 4.0. Just wanting to know who has done it and what parts they have used. Also I'm wondering about cams how they will affect the ECM as well as what valve springs work. I know there are 2 different kinds of 258 cranks but wondering which one will work the best.
Thanks for the help guys

Will buy individual I found a crank and rods. I could make a 4.5 easy but my big problem is my cam wiped out and I don't know if factory will be better the aftermarket.

Yes, I went to an 4.6 with an .20 over bore / .30 = 4.7 . So anyways you'll love it Ive got around 4800 miles and still running strong . So with that beening said
go to, http://www.jeepstrokers.com/forum/ its easyer to go there an get all your info. That's where I got my basic parts list from, But Our'' ECM wont read an HI Lift cam -
an Hi Lift cam will give more problems than it worth, Trust me'' Dont go there. You need to stay with an new stock cam, becouse you can still use all your old rockers/ or spend
lots more money w/ an AEM FCI controler wide ban O2's some more AEM gauge's an 800 $$ bucks you dont have, plus you have to Dyno all that AEM stuff, so there go's, more money
You'll love it and stay with your stock cam .

Yep mine did. My mech dished mine 22cc Keithblack 20 over / Quenched 70 something . came out with 9.25 to 1 compression
he was just guessing, we'll have around 230 hp with just around 340lbs torque
still trying to find an cheep dyno and see'' just how right he was ??

If you are going to stroke your 4.0L and have it bored .020 or .030 over stock you will not be able to use your stock pistons. You need to but pistons that are already .20 or .30 over, you can get them from a couple different places. Here are a couple links for pistons that are for strokers and a link for stroker kits.

I'm not planning to bore no need to.

You're planning on dishing the factory pistons that have a history of cracking and breaking off the skirts? If you're going to all the work you should buy new pistons.
