Got the mod done and it looks and works great. Jeep should have done that from the factory! It could have been part of the "Trail Rated" requirement to allow you to carry more gear!

Will be doing this soon as I have the seats down most of the time. Quick question how do you keep the seat belt connections? from leaving huge indentions on the seat back.

ah, guess it is not an issue with cloth seats.

seat belt receivers.

but doesnt the lower part of the seat hide the indentation on the upper part of the seat when they are not folded down?

i went to 3 hardware stores and 2 home depots in my area.. none of them had ever heard of the wire locking pins..
i brought one that i had from a bike rack and showed everybody i asked.. they all looked puzzled..
anyone have any suggestions on where to get them?
i'll order them online if i have to..

thanks that makes perfect sense I'm an idiot

no the seat bottom really doesn't hide much of the seat back if any. The indentions never really go away. bad design I guess.

My cloth seats have this problem too, that's why I try not to leave them down for any longer than I need to.
