a couple months ago i purchased a 2004 laredo with 280K miles on in. the engine was replaced (with receipts) and has 80k miles on it. it has had a check engine light on since the day i got it and the previous owner said it was an o2 sensor and i have never verified it. today the wife was driving it and had an issue, im going to describe it exactly hos she did but we all know it might not be exact because she has NO MECHANICAL INTELLIGENCE.
Here we go...
she shut the jeep off after a short drive and went in side for like 10 minutes and when she came back out to start it, it had a slight hesitation to start, but she emphasized it was really slight. then she drove to the gas station, (15 minute drive) shut it off to pump, went to start it and it was a more noticeable hesitation (she said it was acting like it wasn't getting enough energy to start). she drove it to the building to pay for gas, turned it off, came back out and she said it acted like it wasn't getting enough power again. she had to hold the key over for a while and it started. when she returned home she turned it off, brought the baby inside and attempted to start it and it was low on energy and wouldn't start (she said she didn't try a ton though) she left it there, went inside for 15-20 minutes. went outside and tried again once more and it was again just a small "waah-waah" noise as in low on power.
this was how she described the situation to me. any help guys on what to look for?
