2003 4.7 swap into a 2000 with 4.7

I'm just wondering if a 03 will work in a 00 without serious modifications?

Yes. Yes it will. So will the high output. Just make sure the tone rings are the same tooth count on both motors.

So as long as these two things are the same your saying that it will work...no comp mods, elec mods, ECT...

IIRC the 2003 and 2004 motors were all 32t rings, and 1999-2002 were 16T. ALL HO motors are 16T.
So if the tone rings are different you will have to swap them. One on pass cam, and one on the crank. Kind of a PITA.

I swapped a HO motor into my 2000 and just reused the harness from my 2000, and got a custom tune from hemifever.

I put a 2004 ho into my 1999 with a non high output. I didn't change anything computing wise but had to change the oil pressure sending unit . I had to use the one off my old motor and had to use my old throttle body too.
