hello again so here i am, i was on my lunch break from work and i decided to sit on my car for a bit, so i opened up my door got in turned acc on to roll down my 4 windows like i usually do and to my surprise none of them worked. so i started her up and still nothing, i noticed that the information panel in the top middle of the car was not showing the usual info avg miles it just showed ----- same for miles to empty option and pretty much all it just didnt give a reading the only ones giving me a reading are the trip miles, tire pressures and maintenance req option, i gave up on it waited till i was off work, thinking it will fix it self just a bad start and nothing, same thing the sunroof works fine, electrical locks work fine but none of my 4 windows worked also my seat memory thing also does not work. i have to set them manually, and noticed that the steering stereo controls arn't working too, any ideas what it can be?

I also have a 2002. It's a 4.7 Limited. Anyway my issue with the power no power thing was on occasion after starting I had no odometer reading, no stereo illumination, no dual climate control or blower or any of the overhead readings. Then if I slightly rotated the ignition key one way or another but not enough to engage the starter because the engine was already running, everything would come back normal.
I replaced my ignition switch. In my case that solved the problem. I tried to find the Youtube video for you of a 1999-04 ignition switch replacement. But after searching several pages I could not find the link.
If you are not familiar with the procedure you will need a Phillips screw driver to remove the steering wheel cowling cover. A flat head screw driver to help unplug the connections. And a tamper proof hex bit(cant remember the size) to remove three tamper proof screws on the ignition switch.
If you have a factory shop manual the procedure is in there.
thank you guys, i was reading up on this and i decided to go for the fuse boxes. they were all fine i did remove all and inspected 1 by 1 and they were all fine, after that i tried it again and it works now ,all of it normal working functions my steering stereo controls are back too i dont know about my windows yet but thats just because i found a threat saying something about door cables breaking specially the ground cable, and found out that yes my ground cable was being held by one strand of cable, so i riped it off, i will fix it tomorrow. but thank you all for the replies very much appreciated
