2.5 KOR lift

Hello, in the future i wish to get the 2.5 KOR coil spring lift. I read the suspension thread about what is needed. Im just worried about other things on my jeep wearing out because of this lift. What kind of problems have you guys had? what do you sudgest to buy. Thanks!

Things to have i know about
Coil springs,
shocks
coil spring isolators
steering stabilizer
what else?

for a 2" all you need is coils and shocks. i have the BDS springs and i am VERY pleased with the ride quality. and they are quite a bit cheaper than the KOR springs i believe. you will probably want spring isolators as well, and if your steering stabilizer is shot you may want to get a new one. just do a search, there is so much awesome info on this site, the members are very helpful and have a lot of useful info. welcome to Jeep forum! be sure to post pics when your done lifting it!

edit- at 2", if you have the rezeppa-rezeppa shaft, you can expect it to poop out after a while, but maybe not. if i disco my front sway bar it will probably pop. make sure all your ball joints and tie rod ends dont have any play in them, make sure your control arm bushings arent shot. also, probably good to take a look at your track-bar bushings.

Anything under 3" virtually puts Bo stress on the drivetrain. Go with springs of you can, but a BB is a good option on a budget

Im pretty much just looking for the mroe aggressive look than stock dont really go off roading. If i did it would be very light stuff.

yea, you probably will only need springs and shocks. im stupid and ran 32s on a 2". they dont rub... now, that i chopped up my front bumper a whole lot! you will probably want to run 245/75 16s or 255/70 17s. shouldnt get much if any rub with that tire size.

fat bobs sells the 2" BDS springs. i did mine for a total of $352. $220 coils, $130 for POS rough country shocks (which i regret). if you get the BDS springs get some NICE shocks like bilsteins, skyjacker has pretty good quality shocks for the price.

Yeah i heard Bilsteins are good. still trying to decide if the .5" difference from the Fat bobs and the KOR is worth it. might just go with Fat bobs

i got about 2 3/4" lift from where mine was sitting, if your springs are saggy you will get a bit more than just 2". if you do your isolators (which i didnt do) you can net another 1/2" (if your are worn). the .5 isnt worth it, you can go get some 3/4" spacers if you REALLY want the extra tiny bit.

i must say, i wish i wouldve gone with a 3" or 4" to start with, but money is tight and its nice to be a bit beefier than stock.
