1999 Grand Cherokee 4.7L V8 ALL-ALUMINUM Radiator?

Plastic crap is leaking. Have seen this same problem on so many vehicles. It's an OK design if your goal is to sell something that lasts longer than the warranty...
I am noticing that changing the radiator on a WJ is not as fast and easy as changing one on a Chevy truck. Who would have guessed?
Since I will have to do it, are there any all-aluminum options (99 with 4.7L V8)? If yes, who sells them?

Anybody know if Griffin 5-299LD-BAX is the right one for a 99 Grand Cherokee with 4.7L? Over $500, at least at Summit, so I'll probably have to stick with a plastic one...

Nobody out there with "the hook-up" for an affordable all-aluminum 4.7L WJ radiator?

Someone must know?
(Genesisautoparts.com among others told me that they don't carry an all aluminum one...)

Parts for these motors are expensive. I really doubt you will be able to beat the $500 price from summit.

I beat Summit prices on Air Lift products, so it could be possible for someone to beat them on that radiator. Anyone know of any other all aluminum radiators for WJ? It's looking like plastic is going back in...

Try mcculloch radiators at McCulloch Fabricating, Inc. Specializing in Aluminum Radiators for Racing & Custom Applications. They are nice people and Bryan does good work. I had one in my XJ and it was excellent. Call them and see what they say.

I just checked Summit Racing - High Performance Car and Truck Parts l 800-230-3030, and I see that they're having a 25% off sale on Griffin radiators from 3/17/10 to 4/17/10.

did you end up sticking with a plastic one or did you bite the bullet and go with the griffin unit?
