I am going to give it a shot because I'm curious to see if there is a running change and if fumes are actually coming out of it. My logic is it runs too much because the PCM says there is pressure but there's no pressure being released due to either the solenoid failing or a block/busted valve. The PCM may be thinking it's getting x amount of vapor when it's not. It's a starting point.

My top hose does not go to the tb...and the hose going to the tb is connected to a "t" of sorts. Not sure where else that going or pulling from.

Take it off of the solenoid then, should have the same effect.

Mine is a 2000 JGC And the vapor canister is under the hood. On yours I believe its back by the gas tank and the T of sort runs vapors to it so there shouldn't be an issue if you disconnect the T or pull it off the Solenoid.

Yeah. My solenoid is up front canister is in the back. I didn't look at the vap diagram yet. I'll pull something off today. Lol. Hose or electrical connector. But if the solenoid is stuck open pulling the connector won't do much good.

So. I disconnected the electrical connector. My evic is showing better mileage and it is running a tad smoother and no code about it being unplugged. I didn't like the idea of gas fumes venting into the eng compartment. I'll give it a few days to see what happens.

Two years of venting into the engine bay, and I haven't blown up yet lol.

I might be better off, but first I will fully insure my car.
