Wj 04 limited 4.7 hard start and misfire

Hi guys. My wife has an 04 grand limited. It's a 4.7 non HO. Around 123,000 miles. I replaced the fuel filter about two years ago as part of a tuneup. Ran great until yesterday. It is hard to start without priming the fuel lines with two to three turns of the key. Once it starts it runs really rough and misfires randomly. Just got a CEL today for misfires on cylinders 2 and 4 and also a random misfire code. Doesn't really make a difference if cold or hot start. When starting cold or letting sit for some time it doesn't want to start. If shutting down then immediately restart it starts fine. If leaning towards either the fuel filter, but it sounds like the fuel pump is going out. It's the original pump. I guess it could be a leaky injector but I'm not getting any symptoms of a rich startup and the misfire is random. If anyone can help please advise. Thanks!

Just want to update. I changed the fuel filter last night and the jeep seems to be back to normal and actually running much better than previously with improved fuel mileage as well. I changed the last fuel filter in November of 2011. It didn't quite last two years or 15,000 to 20,000 miles. With an advance auto parts online discount code I got the filter for $22 and some change. Definitely worth the pain it is to replace!
