04 Jeep Cherokee Columbia Edition

Hi everyone im new to the forum. I just bought my first jeep 2004 with 60,000 miles for 10k. It has the V8 with the high output 4wd. Just wanted some opinions about the SUV. Any info would be appreciated.

Welcome aboard.
By the way, it's the 4.7 V8 that is "high output", not the 4 wheel drive
Not sure what you are asking really. Most of the folks in here own WJ's, so what opinions are you wanting?
Oh yeah, you down own it if you don't post pictures of it

What transfer case does it have? Quadra-Drive or Selec-Trac? It will say on the shifter bezel.

That WJ is in great shape. I bought mine with 55,000 miles. it was a loaded Limited. I had to replace the blend doors within the first 3 months. I would make sure you get an extended warranty if possible.

Congrats on your purchase, great looking WJ. I've got the same engine than you and what I've been told and read is that as long as you are religious about regular maintainance it will last you for a long time. Take the time to got to wjjeeps.com and do lots of reading, specially about the HO engine since its not entirely the same as the 4.7 V8 non HO engine. These HO don't like to be overheated and require different spark plugs than the regular V8 and the 4.0L.

Hey thanks guys for the responses.

Bill I looked up the blend doors and i hope that doesnt happen. Ill have to look into getting a extended warranty. Im surprised they didnt have a recall on that.

Thanks Jacko for the website, has everything on there! Thats why i jumped on this forum to get some useful information.

I got my jeep on Sunday. drives perfect. Did get an extended warranty for 2 years. It has quadra drive...not sure what that means. I'm getting about 17.5 miles a gallon. Is that typical? City miles. Anyone put a k&n system in their jeep?

Sweet Jeep man. Seems like you got it for a great price. I know we paid to much for ours but we were in a bind and seems like 4x4 sell for more in Hampton Roads area. Paid $11,500 out the door for 2003 Limited, Black leather interior, sun roof, quadra-drive, 4.7L (non HO), and 97,500 miles. Originally from Michigan and I wouldnt have paid more than $9,500 just becasue of the mileage however the great thing is no rust. Great buy, hope it treats you good.
