Your rzeppa jointed shaft cannot handle the increased angle/length created by the 3" lift. You need to upgrade to a conventional double cardan shaft. Junkyard is your friend here for quality and price.

Not to interrupt but...I'm lifting my 04 this weekend and my front drive shaft has this same joint. How long do you think I will last before I need to get one? And instead of getting a new one, will the usual double cardan shaft from a V8 work? I've heard the length may not work for an 04 with the 4.0.

if you have a 4.0, you need one from a 4.0. It's longer than one from a v8.
