Wrong to add trail badge?

Have a 11' Laredo 4x4 with QT1. I have added tow hooks up front and the full Mopar skid plate package. I'm guessing Jeeps that came with those things got the "Trail Rated Badge". Mine did not.
Perhaps a waste of money just for it, but I'm wondering input on whether it's wrong to do?
Do they get that base because they went through some special Jeep off road testing ground

Thanks!

It would be a different story if you put a 4x4 badge on a 4x2 vehicle like some d-bags do but seeing as you pretty much made it "trail rated"...i'd say go for it. Just get one for each side!

Get like 7 or 8 of them and put them on the Drivers Door . . . like a fighter Plane! You could mix in a few Bow Ties and Blue Ovals for good measure!

I had a slant6 Plymouth Belvedere in the 60s and put a 426hemi emblem on the front grill. I remember a GTO once backing off when he came up beside me on the interstate....if he only knew that he backed down to a six cylinder. Go for it.

I did something similar, got a 2012 Laredo X with the All Weather Capability Group (tow hooks, no skid plates) and added the skid plates later on. I'm thinking about adding the Trail Rate badge, not for my own gratification, but so if I ever sell it there is not someone saying "why isn't it trail rated?"

My Overland has the trail badge but I wish they had put some kind of Hemi badge on the back. How the hell am I s'pposed to let people know I have a Hemi?

I added trail rated badge, overland badge, and 20inch overland rims. Can't even tell my JGC is a base, until you see interior. Which is hard to do b/c I tinted the front windows. I did all this b/c I like the look and didn't want to pay for an overland.

They get it for the extra skid plates, 18" rims, front tow hooks, and beefy Michelin Latitude tires. I honestly didnt want the package as it was an extra $1,000 and I thought the regular 20" Overland wheels look nicer. I say if you have all the goodies feel free to badge it, it's your car. Not like you are slapping a ///M on a non BMW M car.

I agree with Scott....I want a hemi badge instead

I have 17s and my Latitudes were surely not "beefy" by any stretch. The model does not factor into it being Trail Rated or not.
