4WD Failure

Which system does it have? A QT II handles that stuff easily.

+1

As long as the driver knows how to operate the system is does well. Never really a problem with mine. But I think the OP is talking about the system failure.

I think WKdeuce is referring to the SERV AWD failure that plagued 2011s and some 2012s when used in the sand. A properly working QTII is not the issue, his is broken.

Yep, when electronics allow, this vehicle is a beast in the sand.

If you look at the rears, you can see it's just them that are buried. No power to the front at all. Driver error never results in a 2 wheel drive WK2. If I could put it in 2WD, I'd have had a little fun with the OEM tires before I replaced them...

She's a beauty. 2wd or 4wd? Regardless, enjoy and you know now where to come to for raves, rants, reviews and advice.

Thanks. I've been lurking for a while reading up on the GC and possible issues. I decided to buy one anyway. It's just too good looking of a vehicle and I couldn't find anything else to even compare. When looking at the numbers of '14 GCs sold compared to ones with issues, my chances of getting one that works just fine are pretty good i thought. 750 miles and I'm happy to say it's been perfect so far.

What's the build date?

Mine has been great except for the cv boots. No electronic issues and the tranny is super smooth. Hopefully after my second axle is replaced everything will be golden.

Just upgraded from my 99 GC that I'd been driving for a couple years to this 2012 GC Altitude. Really really happy with it so far, love the look.

Build date is 6/14. Brand spanking new. Hopefully they got everything sorted out with the last run before the '15s start.

Did some mods to my 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee Altitude:

Tinted front windows to 35%
Installed K&N CAI
Installed Corsa catback exhaust system (absolutely no drone in ECO mode)
Installed Trailhawk hood applique
Installed Lamin-X taillight tint (Smoke)
Installed Sharkfin antenna
Replaced 265/50/20 Goodyear Fortera tires with 285/50/20 General Grabber UHP tires
Painted brake calipers red
Replaced chrome JEEP hood emblem with black emblem
Removed GRAND CHEROKEE letters from doors

Sets it off a bit from the others...
