I have a question for you de-badgers out there. Are the badges glued on or do they penetrate the sheet metal? Does the process of de-badging merely involve pulling off the badges and cleaning up some kind of adhesive, or is it a more complex process requiring body filler and paint touch-up?

Dental floss to pull clean and some goo be gone for adhesive.

They are just glued on. What I do us warm up the emblem with either a hair dryer or heat gun then take fishing line and saw it back and forth to remove the emblem. You will have some residue left you can work off with your finger, then use some goo off and some quick detailer to get all of the sticky glue off.

Check out my build thread in my sig. I did a short write up on removing the badges. But in short to answer your question, yes. It is easy.

I can attest to the fact that the badges are easy to take off, and put back on. I had clear mask put on the front of my '14 Overland just after we got it. The installer removed the front Jeep letters, and put them back on over the clear mask without have to replace the double-sided tape. He said Jeeps are one of the few vehicles that he can do this on. He also got the letters centered vertically, whereas the tops were almost at the crease as delivered.

Great looking jeeps, this is making me miss my old one; same color and same wheels.

My wife just picked this up over the weekend.

The least was up on her 2011 Liberty (horrible little vehicle) and she traded up for a '14 Limited.

Hey, Nice one! Excellent move from the Liberty.

Been to that Chilli's on many an occasion. We had an apartment in Haslett for several years during school. I worked in a bike shop right near there for a few years too, Central Park, they still there?

The GC should be great in the MI winters.

Nice to see other lifts besides the RRO. Not many with that lift have been posted. Decent looking WK2.

So far the GC has been great in the snow we currently have. Though I have noticed a few things different in this than the Liberty as well as my daily driver (Ford Expedition). In the Liberty traction control was painfull and if you were in a little snow you couldn't move unless you turned it off and on top of it it sounded like a spoon in the garbage disposal. The GC will let you whip the tail end around which is kind of surprising (its probably the tires more than anything) and caught me off guard the first time I did it. But its just a different vehicle and will take some getting use to.

I am not sure if the bike shop is there or not (I only go in to Central Park for Jets Pizza).
