I have been on the JK forums for a few years, but just joined a new segment of the Jeep community with a 2013 Maximum Steel Laredo. Definitely going to miss the JK but I love the new GC. I removed the chrome strips on the side and put the stock Sahara tires and wheels from my JK on. Also installed the Kenwood head unit, speakers and powered sub from the old jeep. A few pics:

I used to ride my motorcycle up there a lot. Never had a 4x4 vehicle the entire 6 years I was there though... looks like fun.

Hey all! Thought I'd jump in here. I'm new to this forum, been lurking for about a month now. I just purchased my 2013 GC Altitude at the end of November. I have to say I love it! I had a 2005 GC Limited that I traded in. It also had the Hemi, but this new Jeep is so much nicer, it's like night and day. Love the ride and the overall styling, especially the Altitude package. When I saw that, I new it was time to trade. My only visual mod is the black Jeep emblem on the hood (thanks jcg4ever for posting the part number...98193400aa). I also modified the key fob so that I can open my rear liftgate window with remote button. I'm sure I'll do others as time goes on.

Nice!! Got any pics of how you modded the button? Curious if you put a piece of metal under the button or got a replacement overlay?

You're welcome. Your Jeep looks great; good choice! Looks good with the gloss black Jeep emblem too! I actually came up with the black out idea for the Grand Cherokee and Jeep higher ups liked the idea (they saw my idea on the other forum) and they rolled it out a week later at the Houston Auto show. They won't give me anything for the idea though. :/ At least they made it! And I was able to get the parts and make my Overland have that Altitude look.

Sorry no pics. I got the idea from someone else on this forum in the Easter Eggs thread (thanks Marathon Mark!!). I took the remote apart, then removed the little contact plate for the panic button (like Marathon Mark said, I'll never use that) and glued it in the place where the window contact is (bottom left button on the remote) and viola!!
