I spent two hours detailing mine today.

First I hand washed and dried my Dark Charcoal Overland V8. Then pulled it into the garage and used my Mother's Clay Bar and detailer liquid and dried that. Then I applied Mcguiers 2.0 Tech Wax. I also applied some Mcguiers liquid wax to my wheels and hand buffed those.

Looks great. I had to spend 3 hours just claying mine because it was covered in fallout when I bought it from the dealer. My white jeep had a million red specks and was as rough as a piece of sand paper.

My WK2 is Darl Charcoal. It's hard to keep clean. The tiny lil bit of dust or pollen shows. However when clean it's stunning. Great color!

Agreed, it is tough to keep clean but nice when done. After this cleaning session I didn't even want my dogs in it as I was scared they'd drool down the outside of the door with their heads out of the window

That sounds like loads of fun

Fortunately, I did an initial clay bar treatment back in April so this one was much easier. It makes such a HUGE difference though even before applying a wax or polish.

Yes sir it does. Nothing makes paint as clean as a clay bar does.

Just got back from a trip to the Silver Lake, MI. First 2 pics are from the dunes, the last pic is from Pentwater where we put the boat in to go out to Lake Michigan.
