Widshield washer nozzle?

The drivers side windshield washer nozzle which is under the hood has broken on my wife's 2011 Limited at least 4 times since we bought it new.

Now my used 2011 X broke yesterday. Same part, same side. WTF? Is this a common problem? I can't believe a little plastic part is so fragile. WTF is causing them to break?

Are they hard to remove?

Ironically I'm taking the X in for annual inspection and recall work tomorrow so I'll just have them replace.

I believe it can be due to heat, have heard others having an issue as well. Don't believe its too tricky to fix.

Looks like to remove maybe you simply press together the 2 clips? $18.00 each???

Just did mine a few months ago under warranty.
I know a few other folks on here have had the same thing.

Will your 2011 be covered by warranty?.

I guess an $18 part would be a about $100 with taxes and labour?.

Anyway ,let us know how this turns out.

They pop out very easily...just squeeze the two tabs with a pair of pliers and push it out. One of mine broke when it was being removed to install the applique on my hood. $17 replacement cost. Other than that no issues with them breaking on my 2012.
