Duratrac update?

Absolutely changes the look of the jeep. They do drone/hum more than stocks, obviously. Which is fine and understandable. I remember someone said (on one of the jeep websites) that they can't hear them with the radio at10 and listening to talk radio.

Duratracs 275/65/18[/QUOTE]

Wraab, fantastic wk2:
1. Are you still happy with the duratracs? How many miles now?
2. Did road noise increase with mileage? (Noticed on BFG ats)
3. What is your mpg decrease with the duratracs?

I drive a lot of highway miles (30 miles to work), but do considerable off-roading too. Love the look and off-road capability, unsure about mpg, noise, hw performance. Ideas?
Thanks!

getoutandplay - I really like to the look of your Terra Grapplers. I'm curious to see what it would look like in 265/50R-20 size.

Love them - it's the only thing I've done so far but it makes my jeep stand out. About 1400 miles on them (900 were a long trip to Ark).
Noise has not increased. Of course my ears have acclimated some I am sure.
Not sure on the mpg. I'd have to go back and look at my mpg notes. May be like 1.5mpg. And of course the car is 3mph faster than the speedometer.

I have finally burned off the stock 20 inch good years and replaced with some continentals. Let me tell you the better tires have transformed the ride in every way. Jeep please upgrade the stock tires

I will be there soon myself. How many miles did you get off of the Goodyears? Which Continental did you go with?

Thanks

I got 40k out if them belts started to show! Went with the cross contact uhc 400 per tire but the jeep has never been so silent or smooth. I'd recommend the toyo open country if your on a budget about 200 a tire

The tires look awesome but they are almost half an inch from being a true 33" tire.
On the nitto site they are actually 32.83 tall and 11.93 wide.

Same difference...they are not 33 inches tall. I forget where I got my dimension. Probably DT website or another tire size calculator. Regardless, 32.83" isn't 33.00".

Is the Conti Contacts dont have any offroad capability. My bro has had Conti on his last two 3 series and hated them. Hopefully the non run flat Contis are better. What are you going to use for a winter tire?

Help

I have an 11 GC Laredo and want to change the wheels.. I origionally wanted to put the Overland wheels on it but need new tires since the ones on mine now are 18's.. In the end it was going to be too expensive.. So I was looking and saw some 2012 Wrangler wheels I liked and they have great tires with it.. My jeep is stock and will be staying that way so I want to know if those wheels will fit my Jeep without modification.. Everything I read they give yes and no they wont fit..
