I have looked through almost all the pics in this thread. I am wondering...anyone running aftermarket wheels but using the stock tires on their cars? I am considering that to save a few bucks and not waste my new tires on my new GC I bought 2 weeks ago.

why not sell your stock wheels and tires? Still should be able to get at least $100 per tire and probably about $125 per wheel for a quick sell. I sold my stock wheels and tires for $800 total. New was $1500, spent $700 out of pocket. I sold cheap to get rid of them but you can get more.

I am actually considering that but I don't know how long it would take to sell the wheels. There are so many mods I want to do at one time! Haha!

I saw this package on Quadratec and have been researching combo buys on google but haven't found too many: http://www.quadratec.com/products/92...0X_P4_B_PG.htm

That is why I sold them "cheap". I had them sold (email agreement) within 24 hours of being posted on CL. I had the new ones put on the day I sold them then first thing next day i did the transaction locally.

I actually have a delimma and can't decide what i want to do. I am considering the 2.5" lift first and decide on wheels/tires later on. After the lift is done, i can run a different size tire based off what i learned here. I am still trying to understand offsets and backspacing despite all the googling i do. I have an understanding of it though so ill keep reading up here on the forum.

On the flip side, i can skip the lift and run a combo that works at stock height plus a leveling kit. It depends on how much i want to get into it in the end.

Will these work for me?

Sorry if this is something that might have already been discussed or answered here. I'm not too well versed on tire sizes and what can and can't be installed but I have an interest in Goodyear Assurance Tripletread tires but they don't seem to be in the stock size. I have a Laredo X and will be getting 20" wheels to replace the stock 18s and I basically want to know if I can use these tires or if I should just look for something else. I do no off-roading at all and I'm just looking for a decent quality all weather tire around the price that the Assurance sell for to go with my new wheels when I get them. Below is the link to Good Year's site for the tires and they have all available sizes listed. I'm just not sure what I can and cannot do. Any suggestions or information will be appreciated.

Thanks.

This website is pretty helpful because you can put the size of the tires you have now and the new ones and compare their dimensions really easily. It also shows you the difference you'll see on your speedometer if you get bigger/smaller tires

I think I has posted that on the other wheel thread. I found it to be the best by far.

So with stock set up what would be the largest height tire I can run? I have 17 inch wheels on a 4x4 laredo,A few tires I have looked at are 31.6-31.8 tall. I like the cooper st max, 31.85 and general grabber at2 235/80/17 are 31.8 and the 265/70/17 31.6

Thanks

I have 255/70/r17 on mine. They are on JK 17s. I had to grind on the calipers a little bit to make the front two fit. I think I have the HD claipers on mine, but with a little bit of Plastic dip they look great. What do you all think?

Ok folks,

Been through the search function and a number of other places; can't seem to find an answer. Will the stock Michelin tires on the spare rim fit in the spare well in the back? I have confirmed a couple other sizes looking at threads but not the stock (260/65/18, I think). I think the tires that I have found that will fit are larger than the stock, but just wanted confirmation. I am Planning on replacing the poor quality spare (much smaller) with one of the stock tires. Ordered 4 265/65/18 Firestone A/Ts today after research on here.

I have my stock tires 255/70/17 that fits barely, if any wider than 255 the floor cover for the spare well tire will not be flush

Is this the right area - SRT

I picked up my 2014 SRT yesterday.

I love it so far.

I want to ask about winter rims.

Am I in the right place?

I was informed by my dealership that I have to stick with 20" rims. Is this true? I know that the brake calipers are much bigger but I would like to put on 18s if I can.
