Awesome if it's partially useful then I'm down! Golden one show us what you did, is it in the middle or to the side like wahoos? Thanks!

Cool Tire Size

Hello everyone.

I have a Bright Silver 4x4 Laredo with ORC1, Security and Conv group, and the laredo e group (So no QL for me!)

. I have 17x8 wheels and really like the looks of the stock wheels. I was looking into going from the 245 75 16's which is 29.50 in to 265 75 on the same stock wheels. The tire i'm looking at is the Treadwright Guard Dogs which is 32.2 in tires. Does anyone know if these would rub? Or should I try and go to the 245 75 16's.

I don't really want to put spacers or a lift on at this point, just looking for a beefier tire that I can use with the stock 17x8 wheels.

I'm confused. You keep referencing tires that are for a 16 inch wheel but you say you have a 17 inch wheel.

I just put the 275/55/20 on my Laredo with the stock 20in wheels. I decided on the Pirelli Scorpion ATR with no rubbing issues and no change in power on my V6.

Was a typo. I meant 17 not 16's.

Actually. I did make a mistake for some reason I was looking at tires for a 16'' wheel. (I just traded up from an 06 trailblazer which had 16'' wheels). The tires i'm looking at are Treadwright Guard dog 265 70 17 load range E. They run $125 each before shipping and have a nice all terrain tread. The outer diameter according to their website is 32.25''. I have seen alot of really good reviews for these tires so the fact that they are retreads doesn't bother me.

Question 285/60/18 -- Cooper Zeon LTZ or Terra Grapplers?

Webspoke is running 285/60/18 Nitto Terra Grapplers with apparently no rubbing in the various QL settings..... Is anyone running 285/60/18 Cooper Zeon LTZ?

How can I choose a rim that in combination with the Zeon LTZ will fit the K2 without rubs?

Sr. Webspoke, Do you have any rubbing on the trail or at highway mode with your 285/65/18s?

Ok, well I ended going with BFG ATs in 265/65/18 on MB Wheels TKO. I haven't had any rubbing issues, but it has been a challenge getting them balanced right after I added the wheels.

I will get some more pics up soon if anyone wants. I also have the stock wheels for sale, PM me if you are interested.

Just upgraded from an 04 Laredo to a 12 Overland and wanted to upgrade the stock tires to an A/T without upgrading the wheels. Does anyone have experience or feedback with the 265/50R20 Nitto Terra Grapplers?

Thanks.

Forgive my ignorance but I have a question for everyone. Most of the tire size questions on here regard ql jeeps. Mine is a non ql hemi. My question is do the ql jeeps have a lower setting and thus more restrictive o tire size changes. Not many AT tires are available in the anemic stock size.
I would like to move up to either a 265 or 275 -65 18". Is this possible with stock wheels

The QL has a "park" setting that lowers the vehicle substantially from normal ride height.

From what I've gathered. You can lift the non-QL jeep with the 2.5'' lift. QL restricts tire size becuase they can't lock in the 2.5'' lift mode. It goes back to the normal height at driving speed. Bottom line you can fit bigger tires on the non-QL jeep than a QL jeep only becuase the non-QL jeep can have the 2.5'' suspension lift installed.

Excellent point!! I like the way you think Richard.

For you guys that ditched your stock tires- how did you sell them and how much did you get out of them?

Craigslist, sold in 4 days. $100 for each wheel and tire each. Sold all 4 wheels and tires for $800 locally. I didn't really care to sell them to get a lot of money or get close to retail. The tires were $150 at discount and obviously stock wheels are more than $100 each. But I didn't have room for any of it so I wanted a quick sell. I am sure $1000 would have been good too but again...I needed them gone. $1500 out the door from discount for my wheels, tires, warranty, install, locking lugs, etc, minus $800 from my stockers, $700 out of pocket isn't too bad for my upgrade! I was and still am pleased.

Thanks.

I actually love my Terra Grapplers. They will give you a quiet ride. I'm running 275/65/18s, so I can't help you size wise, but mine have never rubbed (on or off road). You could do some calculations and compare sizes.
