Wk wheel question on custom order WK2

I am ordering a 2011 WK with the Laredo X package, Hemi, Off-road I, and such and have realized that the 18" wheels that are part of this build are the painted wheels....I really don't think that the painted wheels look all that great with the charcoal paint. I am not asking for the world, but I think the polished 18" wheels would look a heck of a lot better.

Do you think I would be able to get them to work in the change on the build so that I would get the polished wheels which come standard on the limited package instead of the painted ones?

I think you might be able to work that. If not, they would be more than willing to sell them too you.

If you can get them to change the order, see if you can do a swap for the 18" Mopar Rugged Off-Road rims.

I have the 18" polished rims that came with the Offroad Adventure Package II. They do look nicer than the painted rims but I wish I had thought to ask about doing a rim swap.

Personally like the painted 18" which we have, but really love the 20"s. You should be able to swing the polished rims, and they are only $250 more.

It wouldn't hurt to try.
That's the only thing I don't like about my Jeep.
The painted rims look really cheap compared to the rest of the car.

Now see, we were on the other side of the fence there, the polished wheels to us felt cheap. Not because they are cheap, or that they are inferior in any way, just that it would be too much chrome on the Jeep. We like the subtle accents like around the windows, the grill, and around Jeep on the back. I wish they painted the outline of Jeep black though. I would have made it stand out a little better.

No I am with ya on the to much chrome thing. I was talking about the polished aluminum rims not the chrome clad ones.

How do you know what the price differential is on the wheels? That is an interesting tidbit.

I spent way too much time researching our Jeep before we bought it to make sure we got everything we wanted, and at the best price. I happened to see the price on the build your own section of Jeep.com. I spent so much time because we are planning on driving it to the ground 3x over (should be buying the Lifetime bumper to bumper warranty soon).

I do like the black MOPAR wheels!
But I opted for some polished aluminum 18" wheels from the JK Sahara....

Those Sahara wheels look AMAZING. I have always love the large flat 5spoke wheel, but never thought that wheel looked good on the JK. Fits there IMHO.

I have a set of those for my WJ that I use around town. I also have a set of the year prior that ar the 17 JK rims with MTRs I use on my WJ as well. I do think they look good on the WK2.
